About - Jason Harris

NVRLIFT started as an idea and conversation almost 20 years ago. It originally came from the idea of lift throttle oversteer (as in, don’t lift!), and captured the idea of never stopping, never letting up, and always following your dreams. This site hopes to capture some of those realized dreams, and the pursuit thereof.

Jason Harris – Personal Bio

Petrol in the veins and always playing with cars. Jason’s interest in automobiles began at an early age with influence from his father with exposure to air-cooled Porsches and VWs. A high point early in life was the Olympus Rally in 1986 for the final round of the FIA Group B rally cars, which Jason attended with his father. The cars and drivers were bigger than life, and all these decades later…they still are. The event and that era of motorsports have been a cornerstone of Jason’s automotive desires ever since.

During high school and college, Jason worked for a prominent Seattle area car collector and grew an extensive appreciation for mid-1960s vintage race cars, as well as the 1930s custom coachwork era cars. The collection included rare cars such as a 1956 Jaguar D-Type, a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport, a 1966 Ford GT40, a 1931 Duesenberg SJ, and a 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 among others. To say it was a dream job as a teenager would be an understatement.

As the founder of Northwest European, an organization focused on specialty and limited production automobiles, Jason spends all of his waking moments in the automotive world looking for special cars to acquire and trade. Over the last two decades, Jason created and stewarded multiple European automotive events and tours in the Northwest, and enjoys a spirited drive whenever the opportunity arises.

Jason’s personal car collecting favors the European marques and motorsports inspired design – among the current collection are a European specification Ford Escort Cosworth RS, a Porsche 993 Turbo, and perhaps a motorcycle or two. When not surrounding himself with the automobile industry both professionally and personally, Jason spends his spare time investing in commercial real estate and traveling with his wife, and two children.
